Joseph Bassey

Joseph is a proud first-generation Nigerian-American from Los Angeles, CA, specifically Inglewood, Carson and many neighborhoods in between. After high school, Joseph attended Duke University where he earned his B.S. in Economics, an accomplishment that pales in comparison to his true collegiate W: meeting his wife, Loren. Upon graduation, Joseph made the move to New York City to begin his professional career in tech. Although many believe that the only way to show your Nigerian parents that you love them is to become a Doctor, Lawyer, or Engineer, Joseph is an Account Executive at a leading software company in the HR Tech space (i.e. he slangs SaaS). Today, Joseph lives in Harlem with his wife and he is an active member of Brotherhood Restored. His dedication to the program stems from his desire to help black boys flourish and grow through guidance, accountability and love.
