3-fold engagement
Brotherhood Restored is committed to engaging our young men through 3 vital areas to promote a holistic experience. With our 3-Fold Engagement approach, we endeavor to engage their minds and stir their hearts so that they may be empowered to build a positive future with their hands.
Head
Aside from our ongoing mentorship relationships, Brotherhood Restored features a robust curriculum that enables our young men to engage in learning of self, their place in the world, their purpose and their power. We motivate our young men to think critically, ask questions and live confidently.
Heart
In many educational spaces, young men of color are not able to adequately express the full range of their emotions in a safe environment. At Brotherhood Restored, we allow our young men to feel, to wrestle, and to express their emotions in a positive way. Additionally, we give them tools to help develop their emotional intelligence.
Hands
We believe that everything we teach our young men is rendered useless if they do not apply it. We encourage our young men to live out the lessons in our curriculum through a series of community events, projects, and a collective call-to-action to respond to issues in their communities.
